Hleb (Bread)Passed down from generations. Including natural ingredients and is also homemade. Its great with soup and is surprisingly very healthy.

Ingredients:                                                                                                                         IMG_26691.) In a mixing bowl add water, sugar and east. Mix it together,  Let it sit in a warm place for 15m.                                                                                                                                                              Collage step 12.) Add vinegar and salt to the bowl.

3.) Mix it so its watery.collage step 24.) Add the rye flour, mix together so its dark.

5.) After combine it with the white flour. Mix until smooth and elastic.collage step 35.) Cover, let it rise for 1 hour (In a warm place).

6.) Spray your baking sheet with cooking spray.collage step 47.) With a rolling pin roll it out on a lightly floured table.

8.) With both hands Roll it up shaping it into a long oval loaf, place on greased baking sheet.collage step 5

9.) Make small cuts with a knife to improve the finished product.

10.) Let it raise for 10 min.

11.) Bake in preheated 375F oven, bake for 20 min, reduce oven temp onto 350F.

12.) Bake for 40min until lightly brown. Place on cooling rack and pour a little bit of water onto spread it with a brush around the loaf.

13.) Cover it with a cloth, Let it cool until it is ready to be served.

  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 Tbsp yeast
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1½ rye flour
