Green Borsch Is a great family meal and goes along very well with sour cream and fresh homemade bread.

Directions For The Recipe:

1.) Dice your meat and onions. Place them both into a hot oiled skillet, fry for 5 minutes. Peel, Cube and place your potatoes into a large pot.

2.) After frying add your mixture, salt  and water to the large pot. Boil for about 20 minutes or until your potatoes are tender.

3.) Wash, dry and cut your Schavel. Also cube your cooked eggs and add them both to your pot when your potatoes are tender. After add your seasoning and sour cream. Also reboil again and place in a serving dish and enjoy.

  • 3 Large Potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 2 Pieces of Chicken Breasts
  • 2 Hard Cooked Eggs
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Hand full's of schavel
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon Pepper
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 3 Tbsp Sour Cream
