Bird’s Milk Dessert

 Bird’s Milk Dessert is a great recipe for the summer time as a cold snack after being in the hot sun all day. It’s also perfect for weddings or other social gatherings with friends and loved ones.

You’ll need 3 cups of half and half, 4 tablespoons of sugar, 2 packets of unflavored gelatin, 1 cup of cold water,  and 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of cocoa powder (not in the photo above).

1.) In a measuring cup, add your gelatin and water and mix them well. Next, add your half and half into a pot and cook it on your stove at medium heat until it boils. Continuing, pour your gelatin and sugar into the pot and mix them together until you have an equal mixture.

2.) Let your gelatin cool down to room temperature and then pour a spoon full into each silicone mold, then place the filled molds in a cool location. In a large pot mix your sugar and cocoa powder then add your half and half cream. Bring this mixture to a boiling point also. Then, add your gelatin and mix together until you have an equal mixture. After that, let your gelatin cool down to room temperature.

3.) Using a spoon pour in the other half of the gelatin. And let it cool down for a couple of hours in a cold area or refrigerator. Using hot water loosen the mold from the birds milk. Use your fingers to pry open the sides and pull it out.
