Crispy Danish Butter Cookies which are available at Costco are so delicious, we decided to make them at home. Danish food in general is outstanding, and these are no exception. Crispy Danish Butter Cookies are perfect to snack on with some tea or coffee.

Ingredients

All you’ll need is 4 sticks of butter, 1 cup of sugar, and 4 and 1/2 cups of flour.

Directions

1.) First, in a mixing bowl add sugar and butter (Room Temperature), Using a hand mixer beat the contents of the bowl for 7 minutes. Continuing, add sifted flour and mix with a spatula. Next, on a lightly floured surface knead your mixture until you have a smooth and elastic dough. Wrap your dough using the parchment paper into a long, French bread stick shape as seen in the photo above (bottom, right). Then, place your dough into the fridge for 2 hours.

2.) Next, take out your dough and cut it into pieces using a potato cutter. Then cut each piece in half diagonally into a triangle shape (look at the photo below for reference). Preheat your oven to 350ºF.

3.) Place all of your cookies on parchment paper and then on to a baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes on 350ºF.  Finally, take out the Crispy Danish butter cookies and let them cool off, then place them on a serving dish and enjoy.
