Easter Bread is a sweet white bread with raisins. In Ukraine Its also a tradition that every family has Easter bread on Easter.
Recipe type: Breads
  • 2 Cups of Warm Milk
  • 7 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Of Sugar
  • 8 Cups Of Flour
  • 2 Tbsp Of Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Sour Cream
  • 2 Sticks of Butter R(Room temperature)
  • ½ Cup of Olive oil
  • 1 Cup of Raisins
  • 2 Tbsp Yeast
  • Frosting:
  • 2 egg Whites
  • 1 Cup of sugar
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  1. In a small bowl add fresh yeast, milk and sugar. Mix together well. Now cover it and let it rise for 1 hour. After add eggs.
  2. Now add olive oil, sour cream, mayonnaise and butter.
  3. Now add vanilla sugar, flour and mix together. Next place it on a lightly floured surface and kneed it for 10 minutes or until it is smooth and elastic. Place in a large bowl and let it rise again for 1 hour.
  4. Now add raisins to your dough and mix it again. Spray all your coffee cups with cooking spray and place a hand sized circle that takes up ½ of the cup. Now cover them with plastic wrap and let it rise for 10 more minutes.
  5. Now using a brush cover the tops with mixed egg yolks. Bake for 35 minutes on 350 Degrees F. After in a medium sized bowl mix together sugar lemon juice and egg whites.
  6. Now using a decoration bag with a rounded tip, pipe out what ever design you would like. Add some sprinkles, place on a serving dish and enjoy.
